SPORTS COVERAGE Sport coverage varies from one-off, one photographer, commissions for newspaper and magazines to fielding a multi-person team with full processing and point-of-sale facilities on the ground at the venue of a major event. Needless to say, so I'll say it anyway, the bigger the event the more detailed the preparations for you, and for us. Therefore, we would just ask that, even if you are in the early planning stages of a large event, you contact us at the earliest opportunity to arrange an informal meeting to outline your plans. We then determine our resource requirements and best vantage positions. In regard of the latter, and with Health & Safety in mind, we seek your approval and any passes necessary. Then that is pretty much it for demands on your time. We review the venue at a suitable time, are always available to you should you need to talk, and arrive in good time to establish ourselves as required on the day and undertake any last minute dynamic risk assessments resulting from last minute changes to plans. Our coverage is nationwide - that is for both the UK and Ireland. Indoor & outdoor events - abseil, equestrian, running - large and small. If you want professional photographic coverage we will provide it (our only exceptions to date is parachuting & sub-aqua). Even school sports days and junior/senior league football - indoor, outdoor, evenings, weekends. Our attendance is normally FREE for large sporting events - please is our Fees page for more information. Then, depending on the nature of the event we have a number of options for tackling the day. We will process and sell quality photographs on the day using professional dye-sub printers (not inkjets) - this is our primary revenue stream. As Organisers you may wish some formal shots included in the package - this is no problem. We trust that when we meet to discuss the event plans and the role of photography in it that defining the photographic needs is very straightforward. From this meeting we will develop a formal proposal pack (normally within a couple of days) detailing our understanding of the requirements, profit share, charitable contributions etc.. and forward a copy to you for your agreement. From that point onward Special event Photography will manage all the photographic arrangements. |
